Thermostats & Zoning

- Advanced technology to keep you comfortable.

Thermostats allow a many options for homeowners to control the comfort levels in their homes. Thermostat options include things like humidity level control, wireless access, 7-day programming, hybrid system control and remote access which allows you to adjust your HVAC system with a simple phone call!

Zoning System

Zoning allows you to have different temperatures in each room or area of your house. You can have one temperature in the kitchen, another temperature in the family room, another temperature in your bedroom, etc. Not only does this provide much more comfort but it can save you up to 20% per year in your annual operating costs because you don't overheat or overcool the areas that are unoccupied. The operating cost savings could be the equivalent to that of going from a 18 SEER air conditioning system to a 20 SEER system.

Zoning is getting more popular all the time as people demand to be more comfortable as in most new luxury cars now you have at least two zones, one for the passenger and one for the driver.

The way zoning operates is you have dampers in the duct work that open and close to provide heated or cooled air to different parts of the house. Each area has its own thermostat and its own control. It can maintain the temperature at which ever temperature you like in each one of the different areas.

The cost of zoning varies depending on how difficult it is to get to the duct work to install the controls. A qualified Los Angeles air conditioning contractor can give you an exact cost after they survey your duct work system.

Homeowners need to enable their CA HVAC dealer to provide efficient, energy saving products. Often, a dealer is hammered with customers who just want the lowest price. This forces them to put in cheap product to satisfy customer demand. This in turn just prolongs poor environmental practice nation wide.

Geothermal Energy
The greenest way to keep your home comfortable is definitely via either solar energy or a geothermal heat pump (GHP). A GHP uses the constant temperature of the earth as a renewable energy source, exchanging energy during the different seasons to keep your home comfortable the same way a normal electric heat pump would. "My wife and I had a hybrid system installed for our home since fuel prices are pretty high in our area. The dealer we used didn't install it correctly, and for an entire year we didn't benefit at all from the extra expense we paid for hybrid heating.

I talked to the Get More Comfortable team, and they recommended a new thermostat that would handle my existing system. I ordered it, had it installed, and now for the first time we are truly saving money with our home heating system. I highly recommend them!"
